Nearly every small village needs some affordable housing.  If you are not sure why the problem exists or why affordable housing is the answer, see The Problem and Solutions.

As a not-for-profit developer, any surplus we make through house-building is put back into our charitable work.  That way more fieldwork is carried out, more knowledge and good practice is shared, and more people become aware of the issues.  That means we help more villages.

Most of our funding requirement is generated through house-building. The rest comes from donations and grants.

We make modest charges for services and advice provided to other agencies, but our advice and practical help to parish councils is free.

We have no permanent endowment.

Voluntary effort must be recognised as a hidden source of funding.  In every village, the Trust relies heavily on the members of the Parish Council and others who show an interest in and commitment to the housing project.  Without this local support very few projects would proceed.

If you would like to make a grant or donation, please discuss our requirements with our Head of Communications on 020 7793 8114.

Cheques can be sent to:
Communications Department, Rural Housing Trust,
8 Graphite Square, Vauxhall Walk, London SE11 5EE

Or you can make an online donation at: www.bmycharity.com/rht

Or why not run for us in the London Marathon? Click here for more information.

Help us to continue what we have been doing for over 30 years.  We have demonstrated how to do it and we have the experience and the motivation to make a difference!
