Working with rural communities to provide affordable village housing for local people |
 |
| |
Our aim
Established in 1976 to provide housing for retiring farm workers leaving tied accommodation, our aim was soon broadened as the needs of the wider rural community became clear.
In short, we develop new homes for local people who cannot afford to meet their housing needs on the open market.
Our aim is to create balanced and sustainable rural communities by helping people on modest incomes to rent or part buy a home in the village where they have strong connections.
In order to create a favourable environment in which to build affordable housing, we educate, raise awareness, persuade and spread information at all levels. With a track record to inform us, we encourage policy and decision makers to pay attention to rural housing problems.
